Can Anyone Recommend A Good Psychiatrist in the Baltimore / Annapolis Area?

Hi. I don't wish to discourage you and you state you haven't had much success thus far, but it's always good to go into a theutic relationship well-informed. Dr. Amen's theories are not yet supported in the larger research community. I'm NOT saying his techniques won't work for you, but just realize that he has a product to sell people who might be feeling desperate. I'm not convinced that a psychiatrist is your best answer for issues of depression/anxiety, which probably are closely tied to your gender identity issues. Psychiatrists like to throw pills around. Anyway, I recommend you go onto the American Psychological ociation website (apa.org) and l think they have a "search" for docs in your geographic area for your issues. You can also check the psychological ociation for Maryland (don't know the name - google it). Or if you're truly stuck on Dr. Amen, call/email his office and ask for a referral in your area. Perhaps he's trained someone out there. Best wishes, you'll be ok.
