What political party do I belong to and why?

You are a semi-conservative Republican. Your unrestricted, free trade opinion points you into a direction of less government interference, easy linked to a conservative and Republican point of view. Republicans also support keeping the Don't Ask, Don't Tell policy. Your affirmative action opposition is a conservative view supported by the idea that harder working, more qualified deserve what they worked for. Republicans/Conservatives fight to keep taxes even for everyone, not penalizing those who worked hard but not penalizing those who were not as fortunate... or hard working. A capital punishment support also aligns you with Conservatives and Republicans; we see it as end the life of a killer and stop wasting tax dollars keeping them alive. A clear push to Republican is your view saying that health care is not a right, which it isn't. Republicans were extremely against the Obama Care, which provided health care for those who couldn't afford it. Tightening borders is also a view of us conservatives, and we agree that illegals shouldn't take American jobs from American workers and that illegals should be deported and they can try to get in legally. Republicans oppose any form of gun control (2nd Amendment of the Constitution). Republicans are not entirely focused on animal rights as it is not the most important issue at hand. The one reason I say semi-conservative is that the Patriot Act is a bit progressive and invasive.
