Men issues.. well boy issues.. (:?

alrighty so me and this girl liked this one guy.. and we agreed that whoever he likes first and asks out is fine.. so we were walking back from our bus stop together and we were both texting him, and she stops dead in her tracks and reads the message out loud he sent her" i like her a whole lot more than i would ever like you, we had our chance two years ago and you blew it.." trying to hold in my excitement, i was like soo.. so she gets pissed off and go back to her house.. so i started texing him and he told me that he was fed up with her trying to flirt with him,, so he finally told her off.. then i asked him how long he knew i had liked him and he said for about a week.. (im an obvious flirter apparently.. lol) but now for the real problem,, he likes me, and i like him, but he hasnt asked me out yet, and im not going to do it for him.. ive dropped the hint that i want to be his gf, and hes knowss it.. what should i say to him? do you think he will ask me out?
